What a Long, Strange Trip

Can you believe we made it to Labor Day? What a long, strange trip it's been since the end of March! I hope and pray that everyone reading this is safe, healthy and well. It's been a summer of staying home and going within. A time to reassess what really matters and what's really important. It has also been a summer of sadness and despair over senseless acts of violence and over the deaths of loved ones. However our opinions about the pandemic may differ, the fact is many people have died and many families grieve. Not only in this country but around the world.

It's been a time to go within and find the strength of soul needed endure these trying times. As I have dealt with my own feelings over the past months, it has become very clear that the times call for the deepest patience and tolerance of one another. We seem to be a country divided in many ways but I believe we are truly a country united in the things that matter the most. We all want to love, to be loved, to be safe, healthy and relatively happy. We may have different strategies for meeting our needs but if we relate to each other on the basis of our mutual needs vs. our different strategies, then a space is created for understanding and reconciliation.

As we pause this Labor Day, let us all take time to reflect on the affection and warmth you feel for your family and loved ones and allow those feelings to spread through your community, your state, the country and the world.

We have remained open throughout the pandemic. Chiropractic services are considered essential so we have gratefully continued to care for our patients. Staying healthy and maintaining a strong immune system is most important at this time. Pain lowers the resistance to disease so if you are experiencing back or neck pain, call the office for an appointment. Now more than ever, it's important to keep adjusted.

Diet and nutrition is especially important during a pandemic. I strongly suggest reducing sugar and grains and avoiding all processed food and junk food. We continue to see patients for Nutrition Response Testing. If you are worried about the health of your immune system or if you are concerned about your nutritional status, call us for an appointment. We have so many amazing products for immune support and we will find just the right one for you. Again, now more than ever, good nutrition matters.

In many ways, I feel that my entire practice career has been bringing me to this point. Many people are afraid and confused about the future and many are worried about staying healthy and well. There has been controversy about masks and concerns about personal liberties. There are fears about rushing to create a vaccine and fears about NOT having a vaccine. There are some who feel the virus is a hoax and others who haven't left their houses since March. I have also experienced a wide range of emotions throughout the pandemic but one thing I have not experienced is fear of getting sick from Covid-19. As far as my personal health is concerned, I am not worried about this virus any more than any other virus.

I have absolute faith and trust in my body to keep me safe and protected from this and all viruses. I have devoted my life and career to natural health care and to helping people stay strong and healthy without drugs or medications. Health comes from within and that's where it starts. Wherever you are on your healing journey, we can help!

Sincerely,

Dr. Travis Wyly
