Turn, Turn, Turn - Turning Points in Life

This has been a month of turning points in my life.  First of all, it’s my birthday month and this year I turn 65 and start on Medicare.   So happy birthday to me!  It is also the anniversary month of England Chiropractic and Nutrition!  It was 16 years ago, in 2006, that the doors opened to the first patient.  What a blessing it is to still be here today offering chiropractic and nutritional services to my community.  In this day and age, when modern medical care is the choice of so many, I am so very proud and honored to be one of the few health care providers who is committed to helping YOU stay healthy without drugs, vaccines or surgeries.

Another big turning point in my life this month has been the passing of my baby sister, Janice.  She was only 60 but had struggled with kidney and heart disease for many years.  Losing a sibling has been hard to accept, much harder than losing my parents.  My sister was the matriarch of our family and despite her health challenges, she was always willing to help another in need.  She was devoted to her family and her grandchildren and will be greatly missed.

As I have pondered the turning points in my life this month, I can’t help but think about my life as a chiropractor and a natural healthcare practitioner.  Next year will mark my 40th year in practice and it is astounding to think about the changes in healthcare over the past 4 decades.    Actually, it is astounding to consider the changes over the past 2 years!  The pandemic has given the medical monopoly and big pharma the opportunity to “sell” their brand of healthcare which we are all know so well – drugs, medications, expensive diagnostics, risky surgeries, vaccines.    I am grateful that we have these modalities available when needed but I feel more strongly today than ever that the modern medical approach does not lead to the best long-term outcomes when it comes to living a life characterized by vitality, energy and resilience.

My sister needed a lot of medical intervention in her lifetime, and I am so very grateful she had it.  She was on dialysis for 15 years.  She had 15 years of life that she would not have had if not for the wonders of modern medicine.  But it was not 15 years of what one would call “healthy”.  She survived and had the opportunity to enjoy her family and life and she was grateful for every minute.  At the same time, she didn’t really feel good.  Ever.

Unfortunately, many today are in such poor health they require intervention with drugs and medications to survive.  It’s a fact of life and we have to do everything we can to help everyone.   It takes a lot of work to keep healthy…but it takes a lot of work to be sick, too.

If you want to avoid the modern medical health care which depends on drugs and medications and if you wish to learn more about natural alternatives to maintain health and well-being, our office is right for you.  My purpose is to help as many people as possible avoid the necessity of modern medical treatment.  Life is short and no one gets out alive.  The question becomes how well do we live before we die? I believe that a long, happy life is more likely when we avoid dangerous medications and procedures.
